WHY HOME COOKED MEALS

We love to cook! We love feeding friends and family. And we happen to be pretty good at it.

We see a lot of things going wrong with the average American diet. Uber processed and everyone looking for the quick fix.  Yeah it may taste good at first but we’ve all experienced the ugh it feels like lead in my stomach feeling about an hour or two later after you swallowed the Mickey D’s Quarter Pounder.   I happen to love the quarter pounder,  but every time I indulge, only once a year and I am serious by the way, I feel like shite.  It’s just bad for us.  Most of us eat fast food because it’s quick and convenient, but it has a very serious and harmful impact on our health.

What if I told you, you could eat the things you love and improve your overall health? Not a diet, nothing to do with cholesterol or sugar or anything we’re told we shouldn’t go near.  Just common sense nutrition without the artificial additives.

Hey by the way we all die of something.  YEP! It’s a fact!  But we were all sold a a BS story. We didn’t take the time or effort to read the fine print(this is our fault).  All we wanted to do was fill our bellies with uber processed and fake nutritional consumable’s.  We trusted the producers of our consumables and the regulators, as well that, they had our best interest in mind, we will live longer, be healthier, thinner, etc.. Not the case yall!!

Over the past few years the average American’s life span has dropped compared to other cultures.  Plus all that time we spent watching calories and eating low fat (a hard look at a low fat diet model), consuming diet drinks with added sweetners, zero calorie claims and the list goes on. But in reality the diet we’ve been sold  has actually caused more harm than help.

By the way I have congestive heart disease as well as diabetes and I need to monitor my health every day.   But I learned something.  It’s more about your fitness than your diet.  Now I am not telling or suggesting anyone to  stop paying attention to what their physician is recommending.  But for me, I exercise about 4 to 5 hours a week.  I don’t just go workout.  I take breaks in my day and I exercise for 10 to 15 minutes maybe 4 or five times a day.  I eat sweets but I go and burn it off after I eat them.  I only partake in bad nutrition if I am going to exercise afterwards.  You have to do it yall!!  It’s not hard, it can be fun and you will feel better for doing it.  Just take a walk in your neighborhood or walk up and down your stairs a couple of times, it really is that simple. The take away here is stop eating uber processed food and do your best to saty away from artificial anything.

But I digress.  We want to share with you our home cooke cuisines with the understanding we don’t believe in anything that is artificial.  We do not subscribe to gluten free, we have 6 giant dogs, and we make all our food out of our personal kitchen.

So if you have pet allergies or any food allergies, our meals and sauces are probably not for you.
